Preregistration for the innovation part of the BONUS call 2012 is now closed

BONUS received in total 52 preregistrations with 242 partners from all BONUS participating states, eight from other EU and associated countries and three from Russia.

The BONUS call 2012 was launched on 12 November 2012 and the deadline for submitting the preregistrations for the innovation part of the call was closed on Tuesday, 12 February 2013.

Swedish partners are coordinating 21 proposals, followed by Finland (9), Germany (7), and Latvia (7). Less coordinators are from Estonia (4), Poland and Denmark (both 2) and none from the BONUS participating state of Lithuania. More than two thirds of persons registered as coordinators for these innovation projects are male (73%). Research organisations are coordinating 41, small enterprises nine and other organisations two of the proposals now preregistered.

Biggest number of partners is from Sweden – 54 but other BONUS states are well represented: Finland 40, Estonia 33, Germany 29, Latvia 21, Denmark 19, Poland 19 and Lithuania 16 partners. There are three Russian partners in two proposals and eight partners from other EU associated countries in seven proposals.

As the independent evaluators of the proposals will be considering closely the quality of the consortium as a whole, including how the SME led emphasis of the call is being demonstrated in each of the proposal, the preregistered consortia are encouraged to add SME partners to the consortia as appropriate prior the final proposals are due in latest by 12 March at 17.00 CET. It is noteworthy that currently enterprises are participating in 36 out of 52 proposals with a total of 56 partners from industry. Among them 39 are small enterprises, 5 medium enterprises and 12 large enterprises.

Consortia are also encouraged to begin working on final proposals immediately while the supportive eligibility checks are being carried out by BONUS. The outcome of the eligibility check will be communicated to the consortia via the BONUS Electronic Proposal Submission System as soon as possible. The outcome of the evaluation of the final proposals will be announced by BONUS in June 2013.
