BONUS thematic call 2012 to open earliest in September

The BONUS Steering Committee has made a decision to postpone the BONUS thematic call 2012 from the summer months to the autumn time, after the end of the summer holiday season. The BONUS call will open at the earliest in September 2012.

Once announced, the call will remain open for three months. The themes covered in the first thematic call will remain the very same as specified in the BONUS strategic research agenda 2011-2017 for the first thematic call (originally postponed from December 2011).

The delays experienced in opening the call are due to a thorough and time consuming process of ensuring that all the documentation and processes necessary are met in a format that is satisfactory and in accordance to the BONUS Law as stipulated by the European Commission and the eight Member States of BONUS. The full matching funds, 50% of the total volume of the call, will be realised by the European Commission once the process has been completed.

The BONUS Steering Committee and the BONUS Secretariat regrets any inconvenience this delay may cause anyone with a stake in the BONUS calls.

Further information related to the call will be made available on the BONUS website at www.bonusportal.org and through the BONUS e-bulletin (subscribe at www.bonusportal.org/bulletin).
