The Washington Post article on BONUS led Baltic Sea research results: “The Baltic Sea offers a preview of what’s to come with global warming”
“The Baltic Sea is a sort of experimental pressure cooker for marine life, a test for how species fare — and whether they can survive at all — in conditions the world’s oceans may soon experience”, the Washington Post notes. This is very much based on BONUS BIO-C3 led research results published in the Science Advances in May this year by a total of 26 authors from 21 scientific institutions in seven countries. The authors appealed to the greater scientific community and policy makers to use the Baltic Sea region as a model for coming changes in the World Ocean.
