Don’t miss out! Last minute to register to BONUS CHANGE final seminar on leisure boats antifouling practices, 7 November 2017, Helsinki

The BONUS CHANGE project has studied how sustainable antifouling practices could be achieved on leisure boats in the Baltic Sea. The present unsustainable use of toxic paints on boat hulls adds to the pressures in near-coastal waters in the Baltic Sea. Through cooperation with leisure boat owners, Boating Organisations and Authorities, BONUS CHANGE aims to achieve ‘CHANGE’ in order to reduce the release of toxins from antifouling paints. BONUS CHANGE has together with boat owners tested and evaluated environmentally friendly techniques for keeping the hulls clean from marine fouling and have issued  area/harbour specific recommendations for alternative, environmentally friendly antifouling techniques.

The final seminar will take place on the 7th of November in Helsinki, Finland. The venue is Ravintola Lasiranta located in Hakaniemi (
