Early bird registration open for EurOCEAN 2019 conference 11-12 June, Paris
High-level science-policy EurOCEAN 2019 conference will be co-organised by European Marine Board, the European Commission and the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO on 11-12 June 2019.
Hosted by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO located in Paris, this conference will provide a forum for policymakers and strategic planners at European and national level, to interact with the marine research community and marine and maritime stakeholders.
The aim of the EurOCEAN 2019 conference is to highlight the European marine science needed for the EU Framework Programme Horizon Europe and the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030).
As an outcome of EurOCEAN 2019, a conference message will be delivered.
The EMB flagship publication Navigating the Future V (NFV) will be launched at the EurOCEAN 2019 conference. Navigating the Future V describes what marine science will look like in the future (2030 and beyond). It identifies key themes that will significantly advance our understanding of the marine and broader earth and climate systems. NFV will provide robust, independent scientific advice and expert opinion and be of increasing importance to societal wellbeing in decades to come
