What: BONUS pilot workshop on scenarios REGISTRATION HAS ENDED
When: 6-7 April 2016
at the University of Helsinki city campus, Siltavuorenpenger 9, Helsinki, Finland.
Why: The objective of the workshop is to take the first steps to explore and develop harmonized storylines for future developments of multiple regional drivers and pressures that affect the Baltic Sea and that can be associated with readily available global climate and socioeconomic scenarios (RCPs and SSPs ).
The workshop serves the purpose of
i) debating a conceptual framework of regional storylines for the Baltic Sea up to 2100;
ii) exchanging ideas on plausible future sectoral developments; and
iii) exploring possibilities of further collaboration between the ongoing BONUS projects and stakeholders.
Based on the workshop, a collaborative journal article on regionalised storylines for the Baltic Sea could be envisaged. The workshop is co-organised by the BONUS Secretariat and the BONUS BalticAPP project as a clustering activity. For more information on BONUS BALTICAPP, please visit: http://blogs.helsinki.fi/balticapp/
To whom: Any BONUS projects and stakeholders interested in exploring the challenges of securing the future flow of marine ecosystem services in the Baltic Sea.
Registrations: by 4 March, 2016

provided with selected materials during the second week of March.

 RCPs (Representative Concentration Pathways) are four greenhouse gas concentration trajectories adopted for the IPCC 5th Assessment Report. SSPs (Shared Socio-economic Pathways) cover five different narratives of plausible socio-economic futures. The SSPs and RCPs replace the SRES scenarios.
