Multidisciplinary course on Risk governance in the Baltic Sea will be held in Stockholm, 16-22 August 2010

The BONUS+ projects RISKGOV and PROBALT will jointly give a PhD course on Risk governance, especially focusing the Baltic Sea. This course is open to all PhD candidates interested in multidisciplinary environmental science. From an ecosystem approach to management perspective, environmental risks such as those emanating from eutrophication,hazardous chemicals, shipping, loss of biodiversity and over-fishing will be analyzed and discussed. The course will comprise two weeks of preparatory reading at home followed by an intensive week with lectures, seminars and field excursions at the Askö Marine Laboratory in the Stockholm archipelago. Finally, two weeks at home will be devoted to writing a report from the week at Askö.
