BALTIC ORGANISATIONS NETWORK FOR FUNDING SCIENCE EEIG

BONUS EEIG
was established in April 2007 to serve as the dedicated legal structure for the
implementation of the BONUS-169 Programme. First countries to join were Finland, Sweden,
Denmark, Lithuania and Estonia, which were soon followed by Poland and Latvia.
Germany joined in December 2007. Negotiations with Russia are ongoing.
BONUS EEIG
is funded by the member fees and the Finnish Ministry of Education.
The highest
decision-making body is BONUS EEIG Steering Committee that convenes
approximately three times a year. The Steering Committee decides e.g. on the
budget and strategic activities. Each member has its representative in the
Steering Committee. The chairmanship is rotating and its period is one year.
The current chair is Direktor Laura Raaska from Finland.
The minutes of the Steering Committee are public upon request, excluding the parts that include confidential information.
The
activities of BONUS EEIG and its Steering Committee are regulated by various rules and regulations.
